A Hackney institution beloved by generations of old and new residents alike, The Prince George is a traditional Victorian pub situated on a leafy residential street. General manager Joe Watts, who was born and bred in Hackney, has carefully designed a traditional while also crafty beer, wine and spirits offer alongside Harry Webb-Jeffries in the kitchen serving up a delicious menu. Add to this a working fire in winter, a street facing beer garden in summer and a jukebox for showing off your extensive knowledge of Bowie B-sides and you have a rather impressive option for a Saturday afternoon hang out.
Under the guidance of Head Chef Harry Webb-Jeffries we’ve turned The Prince George into a serious food destination. Harry’s kitchen serves up a large selection of small plates backed up by delicious main courses and scrumptious burgers, also with plenty of vegan, gluten free and vegetarian dishes we have an option for all. On Sunday’s we turn our focus to Harry’s famous roasts including sous-vide rump cap of Beef, Chicken supreme, braised pork, seed loaf & cauliflower cheese wedge for the vegetarians, that’s forgetting Harry’s Sunday Surprise which is a weekly changing roast special and has included Venison, Rabbit & Pheasant in the past. Come down and tuck in.
